Colin Anderson is a talented local painter, who studied at art school but is largely self-taught.

This wonderful oil painting (50 x 60 cms) is of a boatman crossing the River Medway at Tonbridge

Colin likes to paint places that are unusual and less discovered. His aim isn’t to produce a completely realistic image, but rather to evoke the intrinsic atmosphere and drama of a place. He is especially drawn to locations that have a story, or suggestion of a story or history attached to them.
